Panchapalli Dam - Nice start for a new Year
A Very Happy New Year to all my friends . May 2012 bring in more fun filled, exciting rides for you all.
Its the start of a new Year and I needed to take my Beasty (Thunderbird) out for a ride. (Not the usual home-office ride). But where? I wanted to go somewhere nearby Bangalore, but away from the crowd. So all tourist spots were ruled out.
After going through some blogs I came across a place called Panchapalli. This looked like a perfect destination for starting the year. 85+ kms mean I can be back home by afternoon.

Half Day Trip to Shivagange
After ages and ages of dreaming and lusting finally I got my new Thunderbird on Friday, the 8th of July, 2011. The condition of my previous bike was very poor and a 20km ride to office was enough to kill its engine. On top of that for the last 2 months I'm going through a phase when I'm staying at least 14 hrs a day in office. Getting my new bike in a midst of this was like a bliss for me. I was itching to get on my new bike and go out somewhere. But where?? I cant put too much strain on the bike before its first service. So I was looking for some place about 50-60km away from Bangalore, where I can spend some quality time away from office and ride my bike too.

Bangalore to Coimbatore on Bike - An Accural of Mixed Feelings
Have you ever felt Excitment, Discouragment, Lost, Frustrated, Daunted, Scared, Mesmerized, Amazed all in a single day?
If you have then you will know how we felt in our trip from Bangalore to Coimbatore on Bike.
Google Maps showed that if we took the Bangalore-Kollegal-Sathyamangalam-Coimbatore Route then the total distance will be around 320kms. My friend Shubhro has a 2009 model of Pulsar 150 cc. The max we have gone on this bike is 600 km round trip from Bangalore to Coorg. We expected this trip to be around 670-680 kms since we decided to return via Ooty. But when we reached Bangalore our trip meter read 780.2 km.
